Our latest petition goes
straight to the heart of one of the big engines of judicial activism. We are urging Congress to close a loophole
that gives the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) incentive to sue and
awards them taxpayer money to sue our towns and cities, Boy Scouts and
neighbors.
Our first petition is designed
to encourage the Congress to restrict the jurisdiction of federal courts. The great thing is that there is already a
piece of legislation filed, House Bill 3799 and Senate Bill 2082,
that would go a long way toward returning power from the courts to the
people.
Our second petition
was designed to urge the Republican leadership of the Senate to keep Senator
Arlen Specter from the chairmanship of the judiciary committee, given the
Senators statements of hostility toward constitutionalist judges. We are pleased that the leadership heard the
people and got concessions from Senator Specter.
